Romaine Lettuce has been recalled in 21 states and reported illness in: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, as well as Canada. The Listeria outbreak has spread to cantaloupe and romaine lettuce, killing 21 people, and sickening 103 more. The CDC expects the numbers to continue to rise as symptoms can take up to two months to show up. Listeria is more deadly than Salmonella and E. Coli so do not take this recall lightly.
